Angelina Jolie Decided To Stay Dead, Effectively Killing Wanted 2
A few short months ago, Universal put the kibosh on any plans for a sequel to the 2008 hit WANTED, with Angelina Jolie pulling out of the project to focus on other films, namely GRAVITY over at Warner Bros. However, it wasn’t until now that Jolie revealed her reasons for walking away from WANTED 2, and, in short form, it basically came down to it being a stupid idea.
In an interview with ComingSoon.net, Jolie stated, “Being dead makes it difficult. They were (trying to bring me back) but I kind of feel like if I die in a movie, I should die actually.”
Yeah, having your character shot and killed does kind of hamper your ability to make another movie, but they were willing to try it, because the first one made some bank. At least it’s good to know that Jolie won’t be a part of any such plans, basically for money, that involve our intelligence being insulted with basically zombifying deceased characters.
Honestly, did anyone really want to see WANTED 2? Go ahead and reveal yourselves. There has to be someone out there.
