With news that Robert Rodriguez is set to start shooting MACHETE KILLS, the Grindhouse-style sequel to 2010′s MACHETE, it makes a little bit of sense that some sales art would pop up at the European Film Market in Berlin this week to start in on promoting what’s coming down the line.

Coming Soon snagged a look at the early art, and, while it’s nothing more than Danny Trejo, some blood splatter and a familiar logo, it’s enough to get you thinking about the good old days when fucking with the wrong Mexican would get your intestines ripped out of your body and used to repel from one floor of a hospital to another in order to escape.

This time Machete gets brought on by the U.S. government to take down a Mexican drug cartel… but really that’s just one step until we get to the ultimate Machete film – MACHETE KILLS AGAIN – which, if rumors turn out to be true, would take Machete into space. Man, these are some ridiculously fun flicks.
