Halle Berry Really Likes Shoes
If you’ve been wondering what exactly would make up the perfect chick flick (as I’m sure many of you have), I think I have the answer – Halle Berry in a movie about women who love shoes. If they had the same affection for handbags and designer dresses, it would register off the charts. But until that sequel is made, SHOE ADDICTS ANONYMOUS will have to do.
Deadline Hollywood reports that Halle Berry has officially signed on to lead an ensemble cast in an adaptation of the best-selling novel about a bunch of women who get together and trade shoes, because they all happen to wear the same size. As expected, their friendship grows outside of the group, and… well, I’m not sure where it goes beyond that. After all, if I got together with a bunch of dudes, and one of them asked what size my customized Billy The Kidd Chuck Taylors were, because they’d like to wear them, I’d find it a bit creepy. I guess that’s why men and women are different, because this shoe-sharing is probably going to lead to some ladies touching each other’s boobies… because isn’t that what normally happens anyway?
The foot fetishists will be thrilled by the news of this movie, because they’ll have more than ample opportunity to whack off to Halle Berry’s feet, but, for the rest of us, it leaves us wondering what the hell happened to Halle Berry. I mean, early in her career, I really enjoyed BULWORTH and BOOMERANG. But, since she won her Oscar for MONSTER’S BALL, it’s been a crappy Bond movie, GOTHIKA, CATWOMAN, and X-MEN: THE LAST STAND, among some other stuff that wasn’t nearly as bad. You’d have thought she would have used her new hardware to secure some better roles for herself. Now she’s down to making shoe movies. Oh, how the mighty have fallen…
Don’t get me wrong. She still looks amazing… just amazing having fallen. ‘Tis a shame.
