Joel McHale Married To Jessica Alba In Next Spy Kids Installment
Talk about a suspension of disbelief. How am I supposed to take any movie seriously when it requires me to accept Joel McHale (host of THE SOUP, star of COMMUNITY, and all-around goofy-looking guy) being married to super-hot, ultra-gorgeous Jessica Alba? Come on, Robert Rodriguez… Danny Trejo was a stretch. But now you’re crossing some lines.
Variety reports that Joel McHale is in final negotiations to come aboard SPY KIDS 4: ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD, which would feature all new Spy Kids in a relaunch of the series in some regards. McHale would serve as the husband to Jessica Alba, who is the stepmother to his kids. Oh, okay… whew. At least I don’t have to believe that they had sex. That would be going too far.
McHale would supposedly be a spy-hunting reporter, which only means that Alba will be most likely be a spy, and hijinks and shenanigans will ensue from there. McHale is a funny guy, and, although I gave up on COMMUNITY early, because my DVR just wasn’t capable of recording like 5 shows at once, I hear it’s a great watch, and he’s fantastic on it. Therefore, if you’re a Joel McHale fan, you’re thrilled that he’s getting his due these days. But, if you’re a Jessica Alba fan, you have a lot of trouble with this…

Community is great and Joel McHale has been great in basically everything he’s been in.
However, Robert Rodriguez needs to stop with this Spy Kids business, because the strong audience he had ten years ago with the first movie, and that he made wonder if this franchise was worth it with the second movie, and that he screwed over with the third movie is now 20 years old and we are not taking any more of his shit.
