Monsters Gets Another Poster
As a fan of monster movies, including CLOVERFIELD most recently, The Kidd is intrigued by what I’ve seen from MONSTERS so far. They’ve done well in hiding the appearance of the aliens that are at the center of the film’s mystery, and really… that’s the money shot. That’s what people are going to pay to see, so it makes the most sense for them to hold that out for as long as possible, although, by the end of the month, you should get some idea as to what they look like, once people start pulling images off their TVs.
MONSTERS is set to be released on VOD at the end of the month before it hits theatres for some form of a run at the end of October, and, while I’d love to be able to see the film sooner rather than later, there’s no way I am going to ruin seeing this flick on my TV. My Xbox 360 doesn’t nearly have the juice as seeing it projected in grand fashion in a movie theatre. And I don’t care how big your TV is, or how good your HD is… to see a monster movie of this sorts at home is a waste.
In any event, a new one sheet for the film has been premiered (courtesy of Vulture), using that famiiar gas mask imagery we’ve seen from MONSTERS already. Only this time, The Kidd is wondering if we’re getting a sneak peek as to what the “monsters” may actually look like. For this poster, it appears there is a tiny bit of reflexion in the goggle portion of the mask, and, while it’s not much to go on and very hard to decipher, it looks like perhaps some tentacles or some antennae or… am I looking too much into it?
