Scream 4 Literally Goes Back To The Beginning

Tiny details about SCREAM 4 are beginning to squeeze through the security cracks, helping fans in their attempts to formulate just what is happening in Woodsboro that might prompt this return to the series. Things have been locked up fairly tight, but set pics showing the Ghostface mask everywhere and the current career of Sidney Prescott have prompted major questions about what Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson are planning to unveil next April. So leave it to Craven himself this time to tease us with a set pic that literally takes us all the way back to the beginning of the series.

Craven took to his Twitter to post up a picture of himself with a familiar-looking figure hanging over him. Short blonde hair… hanging by the throat… guts dangling out… could that be some replica of the murdered Casey Becker, played in the first film by Drew Barrymore, whose surprising kill got the SCREAM franchise started off in the right direction?

It sure looks like her, which begs the question – What is Casey Becker’s involvement in the next step of the SCREAM franchise?

She was there in the very beginning, so does that mean she will be a part of the beginning of this new trilogy?

All sorts of possibilities continue to be raised by what’s coming from the set of SCREAM 4, and, so far, it all looks promising.
