The First Casa De Mi Padre Theatrical Trailer Has Pumpkin Escobar Laughing

The First Casa De Mi Padre Theatrical Trailer Has Pumpkin Escobar Laughing

So there’s been about two different trailers to CASA DE MI PADRE. I guess the two released so far could be considered teasers, but the second one I covered seemed to have a lot of footage, but not a lot of dialogue from the cast. Regardless, as a fan of Will Ferrell, it looked pretty [...]

SNL Legend Dan Aykroyd Joins Will Ferrell’s Dog Fight

SNL Legend Dan Aykroyd Joins Will Ferrell’s Dog Fight

I love Dan Aykroyd, like his cast member Bill Murray, he’s one of those comedic legends that nobody forgets. I mean, of course, he’s not perfect and like Murray, he’s made a few bad choices when it comes to movies in recent years. It’s hard to glance over glaring mistakes like YOGI BEAR (for Murray, [...]

The New Poster To Casa De Mi Padre Makes For Nice Portrait Of Armando Alvarez

The New Poster To Casa De Mi Padre Makes For Nice Portrait Of Armando Alvarez

It was only about last week when I was first introduced to Will Ferrell’s new movie where it will be entirely in Spanish, parodying telenovelas. And from then on, it’s had a special place in my heart because that trailer I did see put a lot of emphasis on Armando Alvarez, and that very same [...]

Funny Or Die Director May Be Directing A Real Hollywood Movie

Funny Or Die Director May Be Directing A Real Hollywood Movie

So I don’t spend hours on the computer looking up funny videos, or doing anything except writing articles for you lovely folks. I used to spend time reading Wikipedia articles, just to educate myself on obscure topics because the people that contribute are just as detail-obsessed as me. So when I look to find something, [...]

Let’s Find Out Who Armando Alvarez Is In This Poster And Trailer For Casa De Mi Padre

Let’s Find Out Who Armando Alvarez Is In This Poster And Trailer For Casa De Mi Padre

I like Will Ferrell. Aside from Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig, I feel like he’s the only good person to come out of Saturday Night Live in a long time. This is decades after the golden age of SNL, when Hollywood actually turned to SNL for the next great comedic actor. Anyway, I don’t think [...]

Zach Galifianakis Gets One Brother For The Price Of Two In Dog Fight

Zach Galifianakis Gets One Brother For The Price Of Two In Dog Fight

Zach Galifianakis was some unknown Greek comedian back in the day, it’s just so surprising that one movie would blow him up so much. Granted he was completely genius in the role, but I guess that’s all it takes nowadays to gain international stardom and recognition. Now people are actually looking up his comedy, when [...]

Dylan McDermott Joins The Dog Fight With Zach Galifianakis and Will Ferrell

Dylan McDermott Joins The Dog Fight With Zach Galifianakis and Will Ferrell

So last we heard about this political-comedy starring funnymen Zach Galifianakis and Will Ferrell, the awfully untalented SNL cast member Jason Sudeikis joined the ranks. I tried to think this movie would be good with those fantastic leads in the forefront and Jay Roach directing. Even with Sudeikis playing a role, I tried to be [...]

Jason Sudeikis Gets In A Dog Fight With Will Ferrell And Zach Galifianakis

Jason Sudeikis Gets In A Dog Fight With Will Ferrell And Zach Galifianakis

I used to love Saturday Night Live. During the Farley, Sandler, Spade, and Schneider days, I couldn’t help but roll around in hilarity any time those four would come on stage. I mean, how could you not laugh at Farley in “Lunch Lady Land”! That was my generation of SNL and although all four became [...]

Jonah Hill Is Teaming Up With Mark Wahlberg For Buddy Cop Film Good Time Gang

Jonah Hill Is Teaming Up With Mark Wahlberg For Buddy Cop Film Good Time Gang

Trying to break free from the role that has defined your career can be an incredibly daunting task for an up and coming star just look at HARRY POTTER’s Emma Watson and the lengths to which she’s gone to differentiate herself from the role she’s been associated with for the last 10 years. Jonah Hill [...]

Due Date Writers Preparing Swear To God Script For Will Ferrell

Due Date Writers Preparing Swear To God Script For Will Ferrell

DUE DATE didn’t really impress much but Warner Bros. has gotten the writing team behind it to work on a script for Will Ferrell. According to Deadline, Warner Bros. has acquired the pitch that will have Will Ferrell as a hedge fund manager who believes he has seen God. Writers Alan Cohen and Alan Freedland [...]

John C. Reilly Says That If A Stepbrothers Sequel Is Worth Doing, They’ll Do It

John C. Reilly Says That If A Stepbrothers Sequel Is Worth Doing, They’ll Do It

I will absolutely admit to missing the boat on STEP BROTHERS during its theatrical release (A bit ironic when you factor in “Boats N’ Hoes”). After ANCHORMAN and TALLADEGA NIGHTS, I was really off the Will Ferrell movie bandwagon, and STEP BROTHERS looked like more of the same to me. I only picked it up [...]

The Kidd Vs. Everything Must Go

The Kidd Vs. Everything Must Go

I’ve grown a bit tired of Will Ferrell over the years. Regardless of how funny I found him years and years ago on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE (the last time SNL was decently watchable, as opposed to its current state of abhorrent), Ferrell’s film career has hardly been anything worthwhile. With the exception of STEP BROTHERS [...]

Alec Baldwin Wants Out Of Rock Of Ages

Alec Baldwin Wants Out Of Rock Of Ages

Is there something wrong with ROCK OF AGES that only Alec Baldwin knows about? A mere couple of weeks before the entire cast is set to assemble in Miami for a table read of the script before heading into full-on production, Alec Baldwin has requested to be replaced as Dennis Dupree, the owner of the [...]

Will Ferrell Loses It All In Everything Must Go Trailer

Will Ferrell Loses It All In Everything Must Go Trailer

I’m typically not a fan of Will Ferrell-fronted films. With the exception of STEP BROTHERS, I’ve only been able to enjoy him when he’s not center stage and more an important part of an ensemble (OLD SCHOOL). However, when it’s him cut loose without restrictions and a bunch of supporting players surrounding him, I just [...]

Boats ‘N Hoes! A Prestige Worldwide Album Is In The Works

Boats ‘N Hoes! A Prestige Worldwide Album Is In The Works

All of the credit in Will Ferrell’s film career is always aimed at ANCHORMAN, and the same goes for writer/director Adam McKay. The Kidd hears constantly about how funny ANCHORMAN is… how quotable… and after revisiting it a few months ago after my initial assessment that it sucked, I’m still sticking firm to my position [...]

Amsterdam Vallon Admires Megamind For Being A Clever Satire Of Superheroes

Amsterdam Vallon Admires Megamind For Being A Clever Satire Of Superheroes

MEGAMIND is a clever and largely entertaining animated satire on superheroes. While it’s in no way or form comparable to TOY STORY 3 or HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON, it’s a notch above the thematically similar DESPICABLE ME and mediocre SHREK FOREVER AFTER. Additionally, it’s certainly better than anything Dreamworks’ is ejected into theaters in the last five years barring the aforementioned DRAGON and KUNG-FU PANDA. It may not be very deep, memorable or offer much of a message for the kids but it’ll keep everyone entertained for its duration.

The Kidd Vs. Megamind

The Kidd Vs. Megamind

MEGAMIND is a movie entirely rich in concept and ideas, but broke when it comes to execution. It’s a flick absolutely dripping with potential, soaked in the what-could-have-been. It’s something that could have been really super, but ends up being ordinary. MEGAMIND passes up every chance it can to introduce a new take on the [...]

Penny Lane Sees Megamind… And Finds That It’s Not A Mega-Hit

Penny Lane Sees Megamind… And Finds That It’s Not A Mega-Hit

After seeing HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON for the first time last week, my faith in DreamWorks skyrocketed. Maybe I should have waited until after MEGAMIND to make up my mind… because now, my opinion has retreated back to square one. MEGAMIND centers around a supervillian of the same name, who is in a constant [...]

Zoolander 2 Is Looking A Lot Better Now Than It Did Before

Zoolander 2 Is Looking A Lot Better Now Than It Did Before

Not too long ago, things  for any type of ZOOLANDER sequel happening… at least not with solid funding from the studio. The original film hadn’t done too well at the box office when it was released back in 2001… but then again, how many movies that hit theatres right around September 11th did? However, even [...]

The New Megamind Trailer Should Confuse You As To Who’s Fighting Who

The New Megamind Trailer Should Confuse You As To Who’s Fighting Who

After unleashing a  on us of everyone important who is in MEGAMIND, DreamWorks Animation also premiered a new trailer for their new film, and, where I used to be interested in seeing how they pull off a superhero movies stripping away the usual conventions of good always triumphing over evil, I now sit confused as [...]

The Kidd Vs. The Other Guys

The Kidd Vs. The Other Guys

CAUTION: SPOILERS AHEAD The Kidd isn’t a big Will Ferrell fan. I’ve really enjoyed him in a few movies – OLD SCHOOL, ELF, and, on a more serious note, STRANGER THAN FICTION. But, when it comes to his comedies, particularly when he pairs up with writer/director/producer Adam McKay, it always feels as if I’m watching [...]

The Virginity Hit Red Band Trailer Will Teach You What Not To Do If You Want To Get Laid

The Virginity Hit Red Band Trailer Will Teach You What Not To Do If You Want To Get Laid

Out of nowhere, a small film hit Comic-Con about a bunch of guys who decide it’d be a great idea to set up a camera and film their friend losing his virginity to a hot chick, and the hijinks that occur after she find the camera. THE VIRGINITY HIT really surprised everyone, as no one [...]

Megamind Comic-Con Footage Shows You What Happens When The Bad Guy Wins

Megamind Comic-Con Footage Shows You What Happens When The Bad Guy Wins

What happens when you set up a showdown between Will Ferrell (the villain) and Brad Pitt (the hero), and surprisingly Will Ferrell wins? DreamWorks Animation’s next project MEGAMIND will answer such questions this November, and the whopping 4 minutes extended trailer during the Comic-Con panel begins to get you a pretty hilarious peek. Yahoo! has [...]
