Tangled, Let Down Your Hair In This New Teaser Poster
This November, Disney will release its next animated feature film TANGLED, which is based on the story of Rapunzel, only The Mouse didn’t want such a female-driven title in fear of driving away the potential young men audience and having a repeat of the underwhelming box office numbers that came with THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG. After all, that’s clearly the mindset that prevented THE LITTLE MERMAID from becoming one of those modern Disney classics.
In any event, the new teaser poster for TANGLED has hit (courtesy of Yahoo!), and… DAMN!!! That’s a lot of hair!
I’m not exactly sure how The Mouse is going to have this classic tale play out, but I’m getting a strange vibe, primarily from the fact that Rapunzel and her dude are being smothered by her extended mane, and yet the only expressions that I can see are not of concern or worry but of devious intent.
Maybe I’m too old-school, but, when it comes to family film posters, the last impression I really want to get from it is that the characters desperately want to strangle me with hair.
