Adrien Brody is really trying to break out from being typecast in only possible Oscar-winning roles. Ever since KING KONG, it appears that the actor wants to try showing his range, by taking roles in action pictures (PREDATORS), the utterly bizarre (SPLICE), or just films you’d never imagine to see him in (CADILLAC RECORDS).
That trend looks to continue with THE EXPERIMENT, a film that’s yet to find distribution in the United States yet, according to Bloody Disgusting. The movie is a remake of the German movie DAS EXPERIMENT, which centers on a group of ordinary men recruited to take on the roles of guards and prisoners as part of a research study and examined how the effects of assigned roles, power and control affected the participants.
The first poster for the film should give you a pretty good idea that such an experiment didn’t work out too well.
