The Love & Other Drugs Poster Shows Jake Gyllenhaal And Anne Hathaway In Bed
After checking out the trailer initially for the new romance film between Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway, the main thought that popped into my head was “Wow… since when did Anne Hathaway start looking this good?” For the purposes of this story, I went back and revisited that same trailer, and, after giving it another view, the main thought that popped into my head was “Wow… Anne Hathaway really looks good here.” And there’s nothing wrong with that, but, in order for me to really want to see LOVE & OTHER DRUGS, it’s going to take more than an attractive Anne Hathaway to get me going.
The Kidd’s never been a big Jake Gyllenhaal fan. In fact, I wouldn’t even consider myself a little Jake Gyllenhaal fan. When I hear he’s attached to a movie, an eyeroll and a sounds of disgust emanate from me, so that should tell you all you need to know about my feelings about the actor… and PRINCE OF PERSIA only confirmed what I’ve been saying for awhile now.
Therefore, with the trailer not doing much for me, one might hope the trailer might be enough to hook my interest a bit… but that, of course, would be asking too much. The one sheet for LOVE & OTHER DRUGS has been released, and it shows Gyllenhaal and Hathaway in bed in the aftermath of what I can only assume was some boring sex. No one looks that well-coiffed after having some sexy sex… at least not if it was any good. Her makeup is perfectly intact. No one’s hair is messed-up. No one’s sweating. No one’s looking tired. And, then to make it worse, for some reason, Gyllenhaal’s giving us the “Speak No Evil” look…? Is that supposed to mean, “I can’t say how shitty this movie looks”? Don’t worry, Jake… you don’t have to say a word. I can see it for myself.
