The New Machete Trailer Goes Red Band
This is absolutely the trailer that The Kidd has been waiting to see for MACHETE. A few doubts may have creeped into my head after the tone of the last trailer felt off, just not doing it for me with its slow build. But this one…? Wow… pure unadulterated violence, nudity, and all-around craziness… everything I was hoping MACHETE would be and more. I mean, how can you possibly top Machete cutting open some dude, running down the hall with his intestines, and then using them to swing out of a window? That’s fuckin’ awesome.
Robert Rodriguez has been slowly moving onto my bad side for all of his comments regarding the lying marketing of PREDATORS and the outlook for any future sequels after handing us a poor revival to grab our interest, but all will be forgiven if MACHETE indeed follows in the footsteps of GRINDHOUSE and delivers a flick as fun and uncompromising as this red band trailer makes it look.
I will absolve him of all his sins… now you get the fuck on with watching this trailer.
