Wanted Director Might Want To Direct Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter
Awhile back, Tim Burton and WANTED director Timur Bekmambetov decided to pair up again following the release of 9. Only this time, their efforts would be concentrated on bringing the Seth Grahame-Smith’s best-selling novel Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter to life on the big screen. Now it appears one of them might be willing to step up and direct the project.
Nope… it’s not Tim Burton, unless it somehow comes together that Johnny Depp has time to play Abraham Lincoln. According to Deadline Hollywood, Timur Bekmambetov, who actually hasn’t directed anything since WANTED, is thinking about taking the gig. That’s it. He’s considering it in his mind, while he and Burton continue to shop it at various studios.
Ummm… did I really spend time covering Timur Bekmambetov’s thoughts? WANTED wasn’t very good to begin with, so who really cares what it is that he might be contemplating taking as his next directorial effort, even though there’s no guarantee that such movie will truly be his next picture? I don’t… but apparently you do long enough to make it to this point. Moving on…
